Volunteers quickly set a humane trap and secured the cat, rushing him to emergency care. At the hospital, veterinarians discovered a serious wound on his haunch, likely from sharp metal near the tracks. Despite the pain, he remained calm, gentle, and trusting, as if he knew he was finally safe.

The cat, named Amtrak, began a journey of healing with daily wound care, medication, and plenty of love from his caregivers. Within days, his sweet personality began to shine through.
