It all began when a neighbor noticed three kittens on their patio and asked for help. Lori White, a volunteer with ARPO, arrived to find only one kitten left—an orange tabby with no mother or siblings in sight. She waited until nightfall, but no others appeared.

Lori took the little one home, knowing the streets were no place for a kitten so young. But her heart remained with the missing siblings.

Later, a neighbor spotted a feral mom cat hiding under a storage shed, likely guarding her remaining kittens. Volunteers placed a humane trap nearby while Colby, as Lori named the orange kitten, began adjusting to indoor life.

"Colby has been a super snuggle bug," Lori said. "He loves to cuddle, purr, and hide under his stuffed mama cat."

Just a few days later, they successfully trapped and rescued Colby’s siblings—Brie and Jack. The mission didn’t stop there. Lori and the team made sure to track down the parents as well and ensured they were spayed and neutered.

“A local feeder now cares for them, which is wonderful,” Lori said.

Brie and Jack quickly settled in and were thrilled to see their brother again. "Jack’s a little more mellow, while Brie is a spark plug," Lori said. The trio wrapped their paws around each other in a heart-melting reunion.

Colby needed a bit more care—medication, fluids, and rest—but remained sweet and calm through it all. Brie took on the role of nurse, watching over her brother with gentle care, even if he wasn't always thrilled by the attention.

Once Colby felt better, the three of them became inseparable. They explored their new play area, raced around the room, and climbed everything in sight.

Colby playfully chased his siblings’ tails and enjoyed a few visits with the family's dogs and cats. Meanwhile, Brie and Colby squabbled over who got to use the ramp while Jack looked on peacefully from above.

Even a pair of sandals became the center of attention for their endless games. Their playful bond and shared joy filled the home with laughter.
