A Lone Kitten’s Journey to a New Life
A tiny tuxedo kitten, Colt, appeared outside a sports stadium and was given a chance at a better life after being rescued by IndyHumane, an animal rescue. Found alone in the parking lot of Lucas Oil Stadium, Colt was about two weeks old and urgently needed round-the-clock care and bottle feeding. Belinda, a volunteer with IndyHumane, took the kitten home, offering a nurturing environment to ensure her survival and well-being.
“She was found all by herself in the parking lot at the Lucas Oil Stadium,” Belinda shared with Love Meow. The moment Colt arrived in her foster home, she was hungry and eager to drink. She quickly latched onto the bottle, gulping the formula down like a champ. No one knew how Colt ended up in the parking lot, but Belinda was determined to give her the love and care she needed.
Recovery in Just 24 Hours
Within 24 hours of being indoors, Colt started gaining weight and strength, her little body growing more energetic with each passing meal. Belinda was amazed at Colt’s hunger, as she would finish a full bottle only to want more just thirty minutes later. Despite her tiny size, Colt had one of the loudest purring engines, signaling her satisfaction and joy.
As Colt’s energy grew, so did her confidence. “This little girl is so special. She goes to work with me and is adored by everyone who gets a chance to meet her,” shared Belinda, her foster mom. A Bond with Mia
When Colt met the resident cat, Mia, it was love at first sight. The tabby cat immediately took Colt under her wing, sharing her favorite perch and offering a comforting presence. Colt was thrilled to have a feline companion to snuggle with. After a day of playing, she would curl up next to Mia, resting a paw on her as they both relaxed together on the couch.
